Michelman has introduced Michem Coat 40Y, a barrier coating for paper and corrugated. The company reports that the coating is resistant to water, oil and grease, and features good release properties. It is hot melt and coldset gluable, and is completely repulpable and recyclable.

Michem Coat 40Y also maintains stability and can be applied smoothly on rod, blade or roll coaters, either inline or offline. It is FDA compliant, and can be used for a variety of applications, including food contact with items such as produce and other perishables, as well as general industrial and retail.
